Located in the British Properties of West Vancouver, Station XI sits on a mountain-side plateau just north of the Capilano Golf Course, west of the Capilano River, at an elevation of 288m/945 ft. The neighbourhood is residential with a wildland interface, numerous trees and vegetation fill the area. The climate is both coastal and alpine. This area of Metro Vancouver sees much more precipitation than most. Taking advantage of this, a regional watershed is located northeast of the station encompassing the slopes surrounding Capilano Lake. The Baden-Powell trail is located 100m away from the station.
